Afternoon

Day 2: Vietnam-China Border

Morning

Enjoy a hot bowl of pho for breakfast before heading towards Dong Van via QL4C to the northeast. The road climbs rapidly amidst towering trees, revealing a surreal world of eroded limestone mountains and awe-inspiring vistas at every turn.

For a quicker loop, take a left from QL4C at the end of Ma Pi Leng Pass onto the 193A side road. Although short, this route offers closer views of the winding Nho Que River below.

End the day in Bao Lam, where you'll stay in a welcoming village. Relax amidst the remote scenery and prepare for the journey back to Ha Giang in the morning.

Day 4: Return to Ha Giang City

Morning

Start your final day with a simple breakfast and pack some snacks for the journey back to Ha Giang. From Bao Lam, take QL34 towards the southwest, heading back to Ha Giang. The road mostly follows the Gam River, offering an interesting journey along the valley floor.

Make a stop in Bac Me to enjoy a meal at one of the local eateries. As you near the city, fewer towns will dot the landscape.

Return to Ha Giang City and indulge in modern conveniences after four days of adventure.
