Located approximately 230 km away from Hanoi, Ba Be Lake offers an untouched and charming landscape, making it an ideal destination for travelers seeking a memorable experience during the September 2nd holiday.

Nestled within the Ba Be National Park and situated in Nam Mau commune, Bac Kan province, Ba Be Lake is not only the largest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam but also ranks among the top 20 largest natural freshwater lakes in the world.

Perched at an elevation of 145 meters, the lake covers an area of over 650 hectares. Surrounded by majestic limestone mountains, vast primary forests, caves, and diverse underground streams, Ba Be Lake captivates visitors with its lush greenish-blue waters.

To explore Ba Be Lake, it's recommended to hire a boat.

Depending on the route you choose, boat rental prices range from 200,000 to 800,000 VND per boat for a maximum of 12 people. There are two options for water transport on Ba Be Lake: motorboats for larger groups, offering faster travel, and traditional rowing boats for a more tranquil experience.

During your journey on Ba Be Lake, you'll have the chance to visit notable landmarks such as Ao Tien, An Ma Temple, and Widow's Island.

Entrance fees for Ba Be Lake are 70,000 VND per adult and 40,000 VND per child. Additionally, various boat tour options are available, ranging from 400,000 to 900,000 VND per person, allowing you to explore the lake and its surroundings.

In addition to immersing yourself in the serene beauty of nature, you can savor a variety of local specialties offered by ethnic minority communities, including grilled bananas, bamboo-tube rice, and grilled fish or shrimp. The lake itself is a source of abundant aquatic products like fish and shrimp.

During the summer months, consider taking a morning boat ride on the lake to witness the breathtaking sunrise. If rising early isn't your preference, watching the sunset in the late afternoon can also offer a romantic and tranquil experience.

Kayaking on the lake or enjoying a leisurely swim are great options for a refreshing experience. In the evening, you can partake in camping, dining, and nighttime market activities in Pac Ngoi village.

Exploring attractions like Hua Ma Cave, Puong Cave, Thac Gieng Stream, and Na Dang Waterfall can also add excitement to your trip to Ba Be Lake in Bac Kan province.
